Dealer-Level AC Equipment — Why It Matters
Most independent shops can only service older R134a vehicles. We invested in the AC-Dual PRO, a professional-grade dual-refrigerant machine that handles every vehicle on the road today — domestic, foreign, hybrid, and electric.
Built-In Refrigerant Identifier
Our machine includes a built-in 1234yf purity identifier. Why does this matter? Counterfeit or contaminated refrigerant can damage your AC system. We test before we recharge — protecting your investment.
Anti-Cross-Contamination System
Two separate filters and two service hose sets — one dedicated to R134a, one to R1234yf. Zero risk of mixing refrigerants. Important: Mixed refrigerants destroy AC components.
Software-Controlled Oil Injection
Different vehicles need different AC oil types. Our software prevents wrong oil injection — critical for hybrid and electric vehicles where the wrong oil can damage the electric compressor (a $1,500+ part).
95% Recovery Rate
Our equipment captures 95%+ of refrigerant during service — environmentally responsible and legally compliant with EPA Section 609 standards.
Built-In Vehicle Database
The machine knows the exact refrigerant capacity and oil type for thousands of vehicles. No guesswork — your car gets the manufacturer-specified amount, exactly as Honda, Toyota, BMW, or your manufacturer specified.
Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Capable
Most independent shops cannot service hybrid or EV AC systems safely. We can. From Toyota Prius and Honda Insight to Tesla and Hyundai Ioniq — we have the equipment and training to handle them properly.
What this means for you:
•
Save 30-50% vs dealership AC service — same equipment, independent prices
•
Same-day service on all vehicles, including hybrids
•
Manufacturer-spec refrigerant — no shortcuts
•
Lifetime AC system protection — anti-cross-contamination guaranteed

Our A/C Service Process — No Surprises
1. Free Visual Inspection
We check belts, hoses, condenser fins, and visible leaks in the first 15 minutes — no charge.
2. Performance Test (if needed)
Pressure, temperature, and electrical diagnostics with dealer-level equipment.
3. Detailed Written Estimate
You see every line item — parts, labor, warranty — BEFORE any work starts.
4. Approve, Then We Fix It
No work happens without your green light.
Why Your AC Isn't Cold (5 Common Causes)
1. Low Refrigerant (Most Common)
AC systems lose a small amount of refrigerant naturally over years. Loss accelerates with seal aging or small leaks. Symptoms: gradually warmer air over time. Fix: Find the leak, repair, then recharge.
2. Refrigerant Leak
If your AC stops working suddenly, you likely have a leak. Common spots: condenser, evaporator, hose connections, compressor seals. We use UV dye and electronic leak detectors to pinpoint exact location.
3. Failed Compressor
The compressor is the heart of your AC. When it fails, no cooling happens. Symptoms: clicking from engine bay, AC blows warm constantly, sometimes smoke or burning smell. Fix: Compressor replacement.
4. Clogged Condenser
The condenser sits in front of your radiator and can be blocked by debris, leaves, or insects. Symptoms: AC works at highway speed but not idle.
5. Faulty Blower Motor or Resistor
If your AC is cold but airflow is weak or only works on certain speeds, the blower motor or resistor is failing. Easy fix usually under $200.
Our Auto AC Services
AC Performance Check & Diagnostic
We measure system pressures (high and low side), temperature output at vents, electrical operation, and visually inspect components. $49 fee waived if repair is performed.
AC Recharge (Refrigerant Refill)
For low refrigerant. We don't just dump in refrigerant — we measure first and find leaks. R134a and R1234yf available.
AC Leak Detection & Repair
Using UV dye and electronic leak detectors. Most leaks repaired in 1-2 days.
Compressor Replacement
Most compressor failures require complete system flush plus new compressor, accumulator/dryer, and expansion valve. We use OEM-equivalent parts with warranty.
Condenser & Evaporator Replacement
For corroded or damaged heat exchangers.
AC Cabin Air Filter Replacement
Bad smell from vents? Often it's just the cabin filter. Quick, cheap fix.
Blower Motor & Resistor Replacement
Weak airflow or only working on certain speeds.
R134a vs R1234yf — What's the Difference?
| Property | R134a | R1234yf |
|---|---|---|
| Used In | 1994-2014 vehicles | 2015+ vehicles |
| Cost per pound | $10-15 | $80-150 |
| Recharge cost | $129-200 | $250-400 |
| Environmental Impact | 1,430 GWP | 4 GWP (much better) |
| Cooling Performance | Excellent | Excellent |
Important: The two refrigerants are NOT compatible. Using the wrong type damages your AC system. We identify the correct refrigerant for your vehicle before service.

When to Service Your AC
- Annually: Quick performance check before summer season
- Every 2-3 years: Full system inspection
- Every 5-7 years: Refrigerant top-off if needed
- Whenever: AC blows warm, cabin filter, or any unusual symptoms
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does AC recharge cost?
For older R134a systems: $129-180. For newer R1234yf systems (2015+): $250-400. The big price difference is because R1234yf refrigerant costs 8x more than R134a.
Why is my AC blowing warm air?
Most common: low refrigerant due to a slow leak. Other causes: failed compressor, clogged condenser, electrical issue, or vacuum leak. Diagnosis pinpoints exact cause.
How long does AC repair take?
Recharge: 1 hour. Leak repair: 2-4 hours typically. Compressor replacement: 4-6 hours, sometimes overnight. We give exact estimates after diagnosis.
Can I just buy a DIY AC recharge kit?
Not recommended. DIY kits add refrigerant without checking for leaks or measuring system pressure. You may overcharge the system (causing damage) or just waste money on refrigerant that leaks back out within weeks.
Why does my AC smell bad?
Usually a moldy cabin air filter or biological growth on the evaporator coil. Solutions: filter replacement ($40-60) or evaporator cleaning ($120-200).
Can I drive with broken AC?
Yes, but uncomfortable in summer. More importantly, in many vehicles, the AC compressor also runs the defroster. Without working AC, defrosting in winter takes much longer.
How often should I service my car AC?
Annual quick performance check before summer. Full inspection every 2-3 years. Cabin air filter every 15,000-20,000 miles.
Do you service hybrid and electric vehicle AC systems?
Yes! We have professional dual-refrigerant equipment with software-controlled oil injection — critical for hybrid and EV AC service. We safely service Toyota Prius, Honda Insight, Hyundai Ioniq, Tesla, Ford Hybrid, and other hybrid/electric vehicles. Most independent shops cannot do this safely; we can.
What's the difference between R134a and R1234yf?
R134a is the older refrigerant used in vehicles before 2015. R1234yf is the newer, environmentally friendlier refrigerant required in most 2015+ vehicles. They are NOT interchangeable — using the wrong refrigerant damages your AC system. Our dual machine handles both, with separate filters and hoses to prevent cross-contamination.
Why is your equipment better than other shops?
Most independent shops still use older R134a-only equipment. We invested in the AC-Dual PRO — a dealer-level machine with built-in refrigerant identifier, anti-cross-contamination system, software-controlled oil injection, and a vehicle-specific database. This means dealer-quality service at independent prices.
Do you check for refrigerant purity?
Yes. Our equipment has a built-in 1234yf identifier that tests refrigerant purity before service. Counterfeit or contaminated refrigerant can damage compressors and evaporators. We protect your investment by verifying every refrigerant we use.
